New site design, same me

This is not the
catch up post - the one that fills you in on whatever it is I've been doing for
what, the last 9 months? But the updates I made to my website over the weekend
will clue you in some of what's been going on - even if that only gives you the
movies and books that have been keeping me company.
I think this update does a good job of reflecting my growing dislike of other people's algorithms. I wanted to track my movies, but didn't want to interface with Letterboxd, so I build my own movie tracker. Likewise, I've been tracking my reading for the past few years, but instead of using GoodReads, I turned my simple reading list into a fuller flushed book tracker.
And I wanted to include that in my website in a more visible way because, yes, I've been busy and underwater of lately [+]but who hasn't? The world hasn't been anything short of overwhelming for a while now, but as I noted a few months ago, I'm trying to be more considerate about media consumption, and even if that means taking just 30 seconds to reflect afterward.
So, my notes on what
I'm watching and reading now show up in my main index. This might lead to the
accusations that all I do is read and watch movies, which 1. what's wrong with
that and 2. hopefully I'll find more time to ruminate on the other things.

And yes, one of the updates is a dog. She loves running and snow and will hike until her legs fall off. But I think she prefers Mayonnaise to me.
