First Day of Vacation

First day of vacation in what feels like forever, so of course I was up at 5.
The dogs and I have established a morning routine, split between exercise, a little news, coffee, walks, and then on the couch with an audiobook. This morning was a little slower and more protracted than normal.
Mornings have taken on their own segmented meaning on the farm, split between what is needed and what should be done. This morning that meant baking bread, checking the compost, wrapping gifts, and exercising for the needed bit. Coffee and couching with the dogs for the should stuff.
Though Mayonnaise would consider mornings on the couch with “facepets” to be ins the needed column.
He’s a strange dog.
I have a lengthy list of things I want to accomplish on my break, but I’ll start those tomorrow.
Two things of note.
First, a non-trivial part of my list, I’ve gotten enough of my concentration back to start writing code again. I’m looking to move some of the various machine learning models into web applications. I made a test application over the weekend, just to shake the rust off.
Second, after years of putting it off, I finally pulled the trigger on these. I didn’t realize Through the Windowpane was signed by the whole band, so that was a nice surprise. Even if my name isn’t Steve.
