Note - Kindle Sync and Goodreads

Prior to the start of Amazon's Wheel of Time, I thought I'd finally give the series push. Since starting it in high school, I've made at least 3 attempts prior, but never managed to get past book six.
However, I had all of the ebooks, so I used the Kindle syncing method where you can email an .mobi file to your kindle account and the document will be synced between all of your Kindle devices.
As my Kindle also syncs things to my Good Reads account, I assumed that the progress on these books (specifically start and finish dates) would also be synced there. T
This assumption was wrong.
It appears that Kindles only sends stats from ebooks purchased directly from Amazon (and potentially those read on Kindle Unlimited) to Good Reads.
Fun times with vertical integration.
As an aside, I made it through the first 3 books starting in September and finishing before the show's premiere in late November. It took significantly longer to read the 4th book, and I started the final book of the Expanse on Dec 30th.
