My notes

This one lived up, or rather down, to my recollection. During my series rewatch, I'd been paying attention to if the prior films actually set up the Spectre / Blofeld reveal. With the exception of references to The Organization in Quantum of Solace, the answer is 'not really.'

This film hits as the blend of MCU with the old Bond, and it just feels odd and unearned. Mendes did another fantastic job with the lighting - which is one thing he's got going over the MCU comparison - with the exception of shooting Mexico with a light yellow smoke filter before unleashing the full piss filter on Tangiers.

One more to go and despite Craig doing really well in the role, I find myself wondering, who is James Bond for? MI does stunts better. Bourne does action better. The Night Manager does spywork better.
