My notes

This film holds up in a way that I think we’ve lost. It’s been a few years since I visited this and this was my first time doing so in higher-than-DVD quality. The film absolutely holds up. Absolutely gorgeous use of contrast. Fantastic plotting. The action still holds up as does *most* of the effects. Looking back, it’s easy to see why this film had such a dramatic impact on society - even if the worst people learned the worst lessons from it.
