My notes

Watched nearly blind. Saw it trending on a site and saw a bunch of incels angry at it for being feminist and that was pretty much enough to get me to watch.

I was pleasantly surprised. Unlike a lot of what I think I watch, this one feels deliberately staged with attention paid to the lighting in shots for creating contrast and atmosphere. '

The story has a bi-narrative structure - with the story told from two different times simultaneously, but largely linearly. Tough to write that, since the twinned scenes need to either match or contrast, not a lot of narrative middle ground there.

There were a few standout scenes where there was just a poor line delivery. And at time the story's messages were just too overt, which I guess is necessary in 2025 when anything less that obviously textual gets missed. But, that's what gets the wrong people upset and makes sure a necessary message gets out.
